We hope each of you are having a great summer. The PTF at Cornerstone would like to say hello and tell you a little about ourselves and what we do. PTF stands for Parents, Teachers and Friends, which means it takes ALL OF US to succeed. The PTF meets at Cornerstone on the 2nd Thursday night of each month at 6:30 pm.

The goal at Cornerstone is first to serve God, and by serving God, do everything we can for the good of the school and our children. The PTF has three major fundraiser each year, and are attempting at a new one this year. The new one will be a Sporting Clay Tournament in September in Fort Payne. The three successful fund raisers are out Auction in the spring, the Golf Tournament in May and the Discount Cards, which is the only fund-raiser that we ask you to sell anything. These cards will be available when school starts back. We will also have CCA t-shirts available for sale soon.

We have small projects ongoing through the year. One of them is recycling aluminum cans. This money helps put gas in the lawn mower, weed-eater and other yard items. We also collect Boxtops for Schools from specially marked grocery items, used printer cartridges and non-useable cell phones. This money is used to but library books for the school. We will have a Boxtop drive sometime in the fall. So watch out for those Boxtops and be saving them. The classroom that collects the most gets to have a surprise party! NOTE--they will be on all these Kleenex boxes we will be buying for the start of school.

This past year was very successful for the PTF. We were able to purchase computer tables and dry erase boards for the new classrooms. We purchased the ENTIRE gym floor, and bought bleachers for the gym which have been great for assemblies and Chapel. We were able to provide the school with a buffer, floor scrubber and commercial vacuum all to help keep the school clean. Another purchase was the AR reading program for the school and can be used by all the students starting in Kindergarten. We have also been asked on occasion to help with miscellaneous bills such as heating the gym, repairs and general upkeep of the school. As you can see, we are very busy helping Cornerstone to be the best school that it can be. We believe that if everyone comes together, we can teach our children about Christ and give them the finest in education along the way.

Please prayerfully consider giving us your support and do not hesitate to contact us.
